This year’s Annual Dinner and AGM will see TIMCON returning to Edinburgh!
 
We are excited to announce that our Annual Dinner will take place on board the Royal Yacht Britannia.

A Floating Palace:
Britannia was launched from the John Brown & Company shipyard in Clydebank, Scotland, on 16 April, 1953. For over 44 years the Royal Yacht served the Royal Family, travelling more than a million nautical miles to become one of the most famous ships in the world. To Queen Elizabeth II, Britannia provided the perfect Royal residence for glittering state visits, official receptions, Royal honeymoons and relaxing family holidays. For Great Britain, she was a majestic symbol of the Commonwealth and a proud ambassador generating billions of pounds in trade deals. For the Royal Family and 220 dedicated crew of Royal Yachtsmen, she was home.

It is this backdrop and setting that makes dining on board a once in a lifetime experience. From artisan breads to delicate petits fours, every element of every dish is made on board in the original Royal Galleys by a talented in house team of chefs. The food served on board uses the very best Scottish suppliers, many of whom are Royal Warrant Holders supplying the Royal Family.

Our AGM will be held in the Intercontinental Edinburgh The George. InterContinental Edinburgh The George has stood as a hotel, historically known as ‘The George Hotel’, since 1881. It’s made up of a collection of five Georgian townhouses that were originally built in the 18th century. From Robert Burns to Sir Walter Scott, this landmark hotel has played host to the bold for over 200 years, and we have block booked accommodation for TIMCON guests, which you can reserve at registration via the TIMCON event registration portal (opening shortly) at a cost of £279 per night including breakfast.

Our programme is near completion, which will include topical industry speakers as well as representatives from legislative/policy making bodies and a keynote speaker. More to come on this!
